pay attention in class, study after class with partners, then go home and study by yourself. They throw all the books at you fast, and you need to build good study habits, i.e. API and flight school in general is more a test of time management than anything else. You'll have say, weather classes Mon-Thu, the weather exam Fri, but you'll also be in another class at the same time earlier or later in the day, in addition to PT. API is essentially college finals week, every day, for 6 weeks. What makes them difficult is the volume of information coming at you. They're not particularly difficult in and of themselves. The API exams I like to compare to a college exam. (the stickied post, 1001 questions about the ASTB, is money).

We really appreciate that you want to give back to the community, but ask that you wait until you're at a-school. We strongly discourage "Boot Camp Liberty Weekend" AMAs because we want you to enjoy your first taste of liberty-and you often don't have enough time to devote to properly conducting an AMA. We also require AMAs have specific designated time slots (an example would be: "I will be around from 1700-2000 EST Thursday and Friday, and all day Saturday") so that questions are answered. Message the Mod Team with some sort of proof (a-school graduation certificate, a picture of you in your dress uniform, etc). No Posting AMA's without Mod approval. No Posting of PII (Personnel Identifying Information) Doing so will resort in permanent banning from both /navy and /newtothenavy.
